Well word has graced us that it has happened yet again. WS's big contributor and big buddy SwampBuggy builder in LaBelle evidently was drinking way too much as usual along with his wife. Inevitably things got heated and things progressed to blows. Big fight, big domestic.
Law is called by someone (neighbor, etc or wife, doesn't matter) and our wonderful deputy who is Super Daves former / current secretary goes out to handle the call. Long story short she takes BOTH of them in custody as she is incapable of handling a call like this because she isn't adept at solving the issue of who is at fault. Once downtown, she ends up charging the dude with Domestic Violence. The wife gets labeled with a Marchman Act. We can only guess this is a supervisors thought on correcting the issue that the Deputy did. Okay no problem.
Now all of the sudden, word comes from WS, release them both, which happens. The arrest report dissolves in thin air and cannot be found. Never made it across the street.
Now we have to ask, why do we pay a County Judge to hold first appearance when the Sheriff just takes care of all the problems and releases everyone? Just good ol boys right? We seem to think that job is actually charged with the County Judge and NOT the Sheriff. And how can the wife be taken into Marchman authority when she is in her OWN home, and not in the streets? That means that the Sheriff can come into your home when you decide to tie one on because of a hard week or celebrating a cause? Haul you out of your own home in handcuffs because you fit the MARCHMAN ACT? Think about this.
Next up what we want to know is where did the arrest reports go? These people were handcuffed and transported out of their home to jail. But because it is an election year and WS is pulling out all stops because he has nothing to lose, he is releasing everyone who is a contributor or influence towards him getting reelected. So think about this, when somebody hits your wife in a car, or your kids, and is arrested, you will not get satisfaction because the Sheriff is on Speed Dial! Or if you are robbed or beaten, forget about justice.
As for the Metalshop / Swampbuggy builder shop owner, we all know who he is (MC).
