good afternoon

Good afternoon, I have question regarding the hiring process. I graduated the police academy but unfortunately theres few to no hiring here and is more about how you know not about what you know. Im interested in becoming a CO it with be a good way to start off, my question is how long is the process? will my LE certification put me ahead of others? will it be a good idea to do the corrections independent?
