Here's what a new Sheriff needs to do.

There needs to be a culture shift. The fact is no matter who gets elected they're going to bring in their own top managers. Some will be good some wont.

Here's what I want for a sheriff.

Someone who will build a consensus with the county commission (keep our budget)

Someone who will fix the insurance problem (maybe Coventry is the answer bu only competition will tell)

Someone whose message gets carried out (open door policy with no retribution to anyone including political enemies)

Someone who will make Detective a rank and not an assignment with requirements similar to sergeant.

Have labor representatives at all staff meetings, ie fire rescue command meeting? Then the iaff reps should be present.

That's just the top of my list. Actual ideas instead of "fire people I don't like"
