Outrages salaries at the MPD

*Capping Salaries in administration:

Commanders: $125,000 A year
Majors: $145,000 a year
Deputy Chief: $180,000 a year
Chief of police $210,000 a year

*Remove all assistant jobs and replace them with any rank Civil service position, PSA, or hire secretaries.
Stop promotions to staff positions and down size staff by 1/4.

*Eliminate Sgt. at arms they are making over 100k a year.



As another poster posted (the numbers seem to be correct but need to be looked into):

#1) Eliminate rental vehicles saving the city - Savings (1,467,147)

#2) Uniform allowance - saving (900,000) (we can utilizes lost & damage)

#3) physicals - saving (400,000) (Willing to go on my own dime)

#4) purchase of new vehicles -saving 1.3 million+

#5) 5000 hrs of FOP time pool put towards savings - (2,000hrs still left over)

That's a good one should be added! They can use those 7k hours they can take a 10 to deal with city stuff.

A Commander in Allapattah should make 10% more than every other commander. You cap me at $137,500 K. You got it?

request a printout of every employee and their position in the city of miami and what their salary is and determine if the positions are even necessary.

Lt.Suarez refuses cities offer of $400,000 attorney asking for $1.2 million claiming psychological damages and his boobs has drooped like a female from not being able to work out since practical joke was played on him and Orosaa delivered no discipline to the jokster!! You've got that right! We've been screwed & it's only going to get worse if we don't stand up and fight. It's up to use to fight the power that be & we need to have started back in 2009 not now. But of course this is not going to change because we have lost all support.

I have to agree. Pay cuts are for the rank and file NOT the staff. The staff work 24/7. We can save a lot of money by simply cutting back on salaries of the rank and file.
