Uneventfull, as both candidetes would agree, really wasn't a debate, more of a meet and greet with a small presentation. But what really was an eye opener was when an observer asked both candidetes, "what are you going to do about corruption within the sheriff's office". WOW, the reaction by the roughly 150 people that were there. Obviously people know what's going, so don't think Leoaffairs and Elgin Jones are the only ones getting the stories out. Both candidetes gave good answers, that's not the issue, the issue was that it is apparent the sheriff's office has got itself a pretty bad reputation. Well deserved I may add.

That reputation is all in the mind of an Israelite. An Israelite who is obsessed with spoon feeding Elgin Jones and posting day and night on LEO affairs. Enough said.

You're right the corruption at BSO has to stop. Cops viewing porn on their BSO computers, cops interfering with criminal investigations of felons, cops calling out sick to attend campaign events... When is it going to stop?

Is the behavior described ethical behavior? Clearly not. While not criminal looking at porn on your work computer is absolutely unethical and a little sick. The other two behaviors described can be crimInal. One is theft by scheme and falsifying records. The other is outright corrupt. It is completely unlawful and corrupt to use your position to attempt to thwart an investigation and assist a felon (friend or not).

My question is then, why in the world would you want to elect a new sheriff from yet another department that is known for years of corruption as well?! Granteed is from the Hollywood Police Department. Enough said, look it up if you don't already know about all of the corruption that's gone on in Hollywood for years. Scott Isreal has some great ideas for lifting the gray curtain off of BSO and running the department the right way. Honesty and integrity are two things that have been missing with the current sheriff. Elect Isreal and let's see how fast the BSO becomes a shining example of how a Sheriff's department should be run!

You must be confused saying you want Lamberti. Even so, you may not get the chance to have him with all the hot water he's in. No one in Isreal's camp has been indicted, but Lamberti on the other hand has been deeply involved with Scott Rothstein and his crew and that's just the beginning of his illegal dealings! Corruption and Lamberti should be considered a synonym at this point. Read up on Lamberti and you'll want to run for the polls and vote for Scott Isreal.

Continued good fortune. We have some guy's and gal's out there who followed the same m.o. as you described and are or have been in Lamberti's crosshairs since he was "elected". He has never been in any responsible position and has no clue about police work. He can run around all he wants promising to fire everyone at the BSO and wanting to hire Caciccitore as Under-Sheriff, Marano as Commander, DePerna as Major and more, but he has no clue how to lead or run any department. Dude, you ran a security guard agency, it was a 13 man department, what responsibility did you have or what creditentials does that give you to run the BSO. Dude, you have no clue and everyone knows it. In Fort Lauderdale, you only made Captain because they did away with the Lieutenant rank. You ran a shift.... Not a chance. What makes you think that you can speak for ALL of the BSO? Do you or have you ever asked a correctional or road deputy how miserable they are working under a corrupt and never present Sheriff? These are honest men and women who risk their lives every day to make a living for their families. Instead of just being proud to wear the badge, they have to constantly read about all of the corruption, dirty dealings, and unfair promotions going on in their department under Sheriff Lamberti and his "crew". This corruption is documented, not just false accusations. False accusations are all you people seem to be able to come up with about Scott Isreal. Nervous perhaps? Why don't you download the book Inside the BSO and then maybe you'll be able to detox from the Lamberti Kool Aid. Get real and do what's right for the BSO...vote Isreal.

This is a sad state of affairs Broward County law enforcement has fallen to. Talk about asking 2 clowns to provide punch lines for the local media. I am not sure why we are trolling the cell blocks in the county jail for tips on crime prevention. It really is the same irony. I am not a supporter of any of the candidates but really, as a retired LEO and native of Broward County, our former institutions are about as open to integrity as the Manuel Norriegia regime.
