Crespo, you missed one of the most violent cities in America. The violence in Miami doesnt get much press because of the tourist dollars that depend on the "magic city" image. Look at the amount of murders and robberies and see how many make it to the local news. Yet, a police officer speeding down the turnpike makes it to CNN.

You also missed the dumbest mayor in America.

Also the only city in America with an illegal alien as the mayor.

Definition: High unemployment, uneducated, poor electorate. Where do you think local government will gaps from? and despite apathy, the electorate will always be envious of employed, educated, well to do ( not necessarily rich) people. There really is no middle class to speak of. If it is someone else who gets screwed cleaning up this mess......oh well.

A large percentage of those statistics are manipulated by all the homeless shelters in Miami specifically in downtown. Politicians like Sarnoff can use that as an excuse to use millions for "slum and blight" and where the money really goes is to the wealthy politicians.
