OPD Officers,
My family and I are moving to Florida next summer and I am looking at applying at OPD among other agencies. I am currently a Federal LEO working in a Dept. of 70 officers and a community population of about 20,000. Our Dept is doing major cuts and even if you are one of those who was able to stay, as I was, the constant chaos and struggle to maintain day to day operations is not worth the stress. So after 9 years I feel its time to move on. My question to you is, how do you feel the transition will be to a much larger department with a much faster op tempo? Does the FTEP make the transition simple or do you find officers who come from smaller communities have a difficult time coping at OPD? Thanks for your time and be safe.
