Funny how you GP officers always *****ed that green and white couldn't take over your city but it appears that way now.

Funny how there are still a few of you moron deputies out there that still concern yourselves with "taking over GPD". This city wants nothing to do with deputies patrolling their streets and never will. You guys having been saying that the PCSO take over is inevitable for the last twenty years. All we are doing is contracting dispatch. Wake up. You havent taken over the other cities that contract you for dispatch so stay in the county and mind your own business.

Your city is $400,000 in the red due to your pensions and salaries. It us time now. See you in 2014.

Oh please, GPD chatters on patrol 1 like 12 year olds. Your calls hold forever and you turn mole hills into mountains. Let's not blame PCSO's Comm Center for your substandard little agency that can't retain anyone. And don't blame deputies when you are taken over. Blame your city and your contract. Deputies have nothing to do with it. We just fill the void with acceptable service when you are gone. GPD does provide a steady hitting source though. The smart ones left you.

FACT: The two council members most responsible for dispatch being gone are gone themselves. Since that happened, the council passed a super majority vote to dissolve the police department. So in essence, losing dispatch somehow made it harder to get rid of the department.

A lot of the problems lately can be fixed if PCSO changed the amount of deputies/officers/park rangers on patrol 1

As of now, the following agencies are on Patrol one:

PCSO squad 1
PCSO echo units (when they are using the channel)
Kenneth City
South Pasadena
East Seminole units
St. Pete Beach deputies
Gulfport
Fort Desoto Park Rangers

and possibly soon to be Treasure Island?

Hopefully Gualtieri was paying attention when he was down at St. Pete Beach on July 4th (Yes, I know it's going to be busy on July 4th anyway) and realizes the need to add or move some units to another channel
