HIRING FULLTIME CERTIFIED APPLICANTS?

CAN ANYONE ADVISE IF THEY KNOW WHERE THE SHERRIF'S OFFICE STANDS (WITH THE NEW FISCAL BUDGET) IN REFERENCE TO HIRING CERTIFIED APPLICANTS?

The hiring window opens up on the 15th... good luck. Be prepared for a lengthy hiring process, I'm going on 6 months and still waiting on a background. I'm hoping they come through soon... should be worth the wait. All my friends that work there love it. They say in reality, the hiring process takes 8 months to a year.

I just was told I have to wait for a backround. They told me most likely another four months and it should be done.

I did vsa,written and panel was last week. I passed them all. I just today submitted my back ground info today. I need to do swim test..can anyone advise where to go for that. I am going for a reserve position as I am retired from NYPD and just want to get out of house every now and then.

Do you give incentives for current leo or years of service?
