IA aggressively targeting the troops

Not only did we get hit hard with pay cuts and benefit reductions but now we have IA aggressively targeting only the ground troops. If Orosa ordered this shame on him. If IA major ordered this shame on them.

At a time when officers are being kicked the departments IA division takes one extra step and kicks them them harder.


Look for corrupt cops not those eating breakfast together with their crew or milking a call to grab a meal. Not all of us take 12's you know.

I agree they should send those IA officers back to patrol to help us answers calls..they are burning us out for low pay..

There is a very simple explanation for this. If its true it only makes sense. You just had a large pay decrease. You have many individuals that are considering moving on to other agencies. By filing disciplinary action againt them you have essentialy made them un-hireable to another employer. This keeps your workforce all present and accounted for.
Additionally I have no doubt that as a result of recent contract changes they saw a huge dip in proactive enforcement. Keeping the troops from hanging out will keep them on the street and more likely to work.

IA is suppose to enforce the departmental policies. How can they when they are breaking them as well? When I was there, we ate breakfast and lunch in the conference room or the employee lounge.
