What about officers assigned rentals? They are not classified as "24" hour vehicle and the city does NOT pay the maintenance on them. Also officers detached who live outside the city and work outside the city, how would you access them the .28 per mile? In fact how will they do it if you are on vacation? Take a day off? Or are going to court, even if you do have a city vehicle? :?:

Listen, you can opt out, turn in the motor and come back to patrol. But wait, then you won't have all the money from all the escorts you can't turn down. Poor poor motorman. having to pay just like everyone else.

C-S-U is very lucky. They don't mind paying 27 cents for their rental, because they will use their car 25 hrs a day.
And knowing one of their Sgt, if one of them crash on their day off, the Sgt will say that the officer was working a deep deep deep investigation and therefore he was authorized to drive the vehicle.

That SGT is a CERTIFIED LIAR.. ITS BEEN DOCUMENTED.
