Making of the new MPD

It's time for a change. There needs to be a nationwide search for the new police chief. Someone that is not tied to anyone or anything here. That person should be well educated and qualified. Someone who has worked as a chief or assistant chief of a major department. Someone progressive minded and not afraid to fight the politics. The new chiefs staff should also be well educated, qualified and picked from within, at the very least mirroring the ethnic breakdown of the City.

Right now i'm sure you all would agree that we need stability and a solid plan for our future. We probably need a strong female leader. I know that either this post will fade away or not receive too many post because it makes too much since. But tell me what you think.

Those too ignorant to study History are bound to make the same mistakes of the past.
Bernard Garmire, an imported chief, was the beginning of the demise of the M.P.D. as a nationally recognized show cased police agency. Tea Money was the last example of that flawed philosophy.
Our problems will not be solved by some outside political hack with an overblown resume, but by a leader from within that will stop US from this internal destructive bickering and put us back on track.
This bickering is but a distraction of the real issues and does nothing but divide and weaken the rank and file.

WHo ever its is he/she will be hand chosen by a crooked mayor therein lies the problem. If chiefs are chosen to be puppets to the mayor nothing in this department will ever change. Because politicians only care about statistics at all cost. I for one am glad to have a chief thats does not cater to a crook.
