A rumor it was!!!!!

Please do not think for a second that he can not drag the VPD any lower then it is already.
North Port thought that when they picked him for their top cop job.
Look at the mess they have now. A completely demoralized department and a Lewis hand picked replacement chief.

North Port will still be the the Mayberry of Sarasota County.
If Venice hires Lewis, it will bcome a close second as the Mount Pilot of the county. :( :(

I heard it was because the acting city manager asked him for assistance in evaluating the Chief applications because he was a Chief and acting city manager of North Port, and he accepted.

Wear a steel back plate with your vests if he gets the job.

That's what everyone I've talked to at North Port has had to say about him...not again!!!
We just got rid of one of those and from what I've heard he schmoozes the politicians and screws the cops, with a smile on his face while he's doing it to you.

Don't want Lewis cause he goes along with the politicians and you don't want someone like Bradenton's Chief Raz who takes on the politicians on behalf of the Officers so please give us your requirements and a name if possible!!!!!

Ponder this about the Lewis past with the SCSO and North North Port PD.

The man has headed two different departments during several major high profile cases and either made several terrible decisions, or was not around to take command.

That's what the officers are told, but it is FAR from the truth, cause when behind closed doors other deals are made.
