Florida dept of corrections hiring freeze..

I was told today that there has been a Hiring Freeze put on the Florida dept of Corrections
is this so? the County in question is Sumter County...any truth to this

What you were told is correct. I have applied at the Okeechobee County Corrections and they told me the same thing. Don't know how long it will last....

It is slightly irritating to see Institutions running, at least at my Institution, 27 positions down.
