I asked someone the other day why the SRSO Honor Guard does not go represent the SRSO and pay it's respects as they should when their fellow brothers/sisters are killed in the line of duty. The response was that they are not "allowed" to and it's not because they don't want to. Isn't this what they train for?? Hello ........................I know the SRSO HG trains and looks good when they show up as I have seen but the fact that they aren't allowed to travel within their own state for LEO's killed in the line of duty is pathetic. Im sooooo glad that the other departments in this state doesn't feel the same way or blame the "budget"!! Sad thing is, these very departments that just lost officers would be here if they needed to be and as they should be. Whomever made the decision to "not allow" the SRSO Honor Guard to make a showing and represent.....should hang their head in shame! Pathetic...........
