City commissioners vow to end homelessness

Sarasota was named the "meanest city to homeless" in 2006. It is illegal to sleep outside, making it illegal to be homeless. However, city leaders in Sarasota have vowed to develop a plan to end homelessness.

So, I guess I now know what they plan on doing with the police officers pensions, use it to end homelessness.

IMO most governments will eventually abolish defined pension plans, just like the corporate world has already done.
