City of Tickets: Does Naples, Cape Coral, or Ft. Myers write the most?
Been busted for speeding lately?* Or maybe you got a parking ticket?* Four in Your Corner wants to know which city is the most aggressive when it comes to handing out fines.* Rob Koebel on the search for that answer and trying to figure out where all of your money goes.*Rob: "But I wondered what city hands out the most fines and tickets between Cape Coral, Naples and Ft. Myers".Here's what I found.* In 2009 * Naples police gave out* more than 10 thousand tickets.* total -- almost 267 thousand bucks.* This year -- about 6 thousand tickets worth almost 147 thousand dollars.Cape Coral Police: *"frustrating we have so many serious crashes and too many injuries and too many fatalities".The Cape Coral Police Department* doesn't lead the pack either all though they do issue more tickets than Naples.* In 2009 -- 26 thousand tickets for a total of almost a million bucks. this year -- so far -- 23 thousand tickets for about 740 thousand dollars.Chief Doug Baker: *"I don't like the numbers and I am not happy with the numbers at all".Fort Myers Police Chief Doug Baker's department is the hands down winner!* -- they are up 102 percent from last year alone when it comes to handing out tickets!**Chief Doug Baker:* "I don't want to be in the mode of citation issue, citation.* People can't afford it the tickets are extremely expensive".A statewide report* shows Ft Myers is ranked among the worst when it comes to traffic related issues.Chief Doug Baker:* "I think the only ones who ranked worse than us is Key West and Coco Beach on some of those categories".So far Fort Myers police wrote almost 16,000 tickets* this year alone.* Last year at the same time just about 8,ooo. Baker didn't have the exact amount in fines but says the department sees very little if any money from the tickets.Rob: "You are up over 100 % some might say you are just trying to make money.Chief Doug Baker: "Well you could say that however I don't believe that.* We don't get money from those tickets.* I get it all the time if you guys write more tickets you will get a free toaster at the end of the month we don't have those types of numbers.* We don't do those type of things".Baker isn't happy to be among the leader in tickets and is working to make the roads safer.Chief Doug Baker:* "I think the condition and cultures of driving within the city have to change.* How do you do that?* Three things prevention, education and enforcement".While these cities don't see a lot of money from these fines it does help with grant money that can sometimes be used to hire more officers.*(The above article courtesy of Fox 4WFTX News)

Did you think I was going to let the Stalin of our department get away with this outrageous lie ! I read this scratching my head , and then reality quickly brings me back to my senses. This guy has the chestnuts to send a memo about not lying, then does a public media interview while in uniform ,and lies through his teeth. I think the Department of P.M.S. needs to initiate an internal investigation immediately , because Chief Half -Baked has just violated his own Pinocchio Doctrine. It's a good thing he has a talented wood worker in the P.M.S. department , because the Chief's nose just grew about three inches. Does this guy realize that officers have numerous Quota sheets they have saved, and turn in to supervisors on a monthly basis. There are also numerous supervisors on recordings stating there are specific Quota numbers mandated by the chief. The P.M.S. department is investigating officers as we speak for this new Pinocchio Doctrine, yet we are being led by the biggest lying fraudulent politician yet to date. Your not happy with the numbers Chief ? Guess what we're not happy with you! You are the liar I always have known that you were. The bottom line is when you create this CALEA fantasy world of rules and regulations, you need the leader set the tone, by example. Unfortunately for the chief he can't do it , because its not in his D.N.A. . This leadership style is Chief Daniel's on a eight ball of Viagra , and Steroids! The Viagra portion is effecting Dougie the wrong way, because the only thing enlarging is his nose! The Department of P.M.S. better get their wood worker started on hammering away with his chisel, because the termites are coming for the nose ! The chief and the P.M.S. department have attacked the wrong officers lately , and we have the ear of a media outlet too. The gloves are off and we are coming for for you through the legal process, media, and we will continue to internally spread our message until this Regime crumbles! The message is the same Hear No Evil, See No Evil!
