greeting members of the jury c'mon sheriff, what are you doing
That's the problem, he doesn't know what he is doing. Very reason why someone who is not an LEO has no business being a Sheriff. A real LEO would know better. He said he didn't address the jury this week because he was a witness in the Billings case. What is the difference in this case and any other criminal case we make. Being the elected Sheriff, he is responsible for everything we do and seeing that we are well trained and equipped. That means if a defense attorney so desired he could call on him as a witness in any case we make. Maybe the defense attorneys should subpoena him in every case. This would stop him from addressing the jury.
