The Thin Blue Line
We are all in this profession together. We may not know each other. We may not get along with those that we do know. We need to remember that law enforcement officers are all part of one big family. When one of us hurts, we all hurt. When one of us dies, a piece of all of us dies. We need to stick together and be there for each other. It does not matter what agency we work for. We are all there for the same reason, to serve and protect. It does not matter what style of badge we wear. We have the courage to wear it is what matters. We need to make sure that we all go home safely to our families. We need to be proud of those badges we wear. We can do that by doing our jobs and doing it right while being honest, ethical, and professional. Treat each person with respect because you have to give it to get it. Never forget those that have paid the ultimate price in doing their jobs.
