Not enough for the job we do and the knowledge we have to have to perform our job.

I am sure you are not, probably in the same boat that I am in where I work. Just curious to a starting number, wondering if it would be worth the move for me. I am due for a change or scenery

Try this below link. It should help with most of your questions. At this point and time we have OT and some off duty depending on the area. Our agency hasn't had a raise in 6 years to include a cost of living raise, and with our current administration it won't happen for awhile. A good place to work, but don't get paid what we're worth.

Go under the tab employment on the left side of screen and click law Enforcement Officer. It will show you the qualifications and current pay.

$31,871 for most areas of the state. The Miami and West Palm Beach officers start at $36,879. After you finish the DOT academy, you will get a $1,950/year increase.

alex sink will take away the increase becase she does not think it is fair when other state agencies like FDLE took back all there extra pay. good luck. go green, any sheriff's office is better. follow dees to martin county, surely crowder wont be there long. what a sleeze ball. not dees, he is cool, i mean crowder.
