Now body in their right mind spends 50 million dollars for a position that pays $150,000! Then that 50 million came from health care fraud. No business man that was that driven in his early career is not going to insure that he reaps a personal profit should he be elected. This whole campaign is down right is nutso!! But the people of Florida will probably buy into it and this and down the drain we go.

Spot on, how many people do you know that say if they hit the big lottery ($100 mil.plus) they'er running for governor. Everyone I ever heard told of fablous vacations, big mansions on the ocean.......but NEVER running for public office!

No its just like Perot wanting to be president. They see it as getting a lasting legacy that just being rich doesn't give you.

Sorry to burst your bubble. This came directly from a Democratic mail-out. Just received it.

If this is the approach the Democrats are taking, it's a failed strategy.

You can question the guys motives, but rich or poor he has the right to run. It could be he's simply a rich philantropist- and of course if you believe that there's land available in Yemen.

The Democrats won't win with this tact. They will win the Governor's Office, but not by class warfare.

The guy is a crook. Beat them over the head with the number of times he took the 5th. If it's on video, play it over and over and over. That's what he'll do as Gov when things go wrong.

Play all the Republican slants against him from the mouths of the Republican elite then contrast that with the recent Republican love fest.

Beat them over the head with, "run goverment like a business?." Worldcom? Bank of America (oops can't do this one)?, Bear Sterns, AIG, and all the others that failed because of a lack of moral fiber and an over abundance of greed. I would compare him to the head of ENRON or BP. Superimpose his face on a burning Deep Horizon oil rig.

I'd do a play on his lack of positive leadership. There's enough stories from his own employees indicating the guy is a meglomaniac.

Challenge him on his knowledge of the actual functioning of goverment. Maybe a commercial where a reporter asks him how many branches of government there are and the powers of each and have him stuttering in retrospect.

Hell, there are plenty of avenues. You might even try arguing the real issues.

But, rich against poor? If that worked, NASCAR Republicans would be in serious trouble.
