can a man dive at 5000 feet i know they will die after but can it be done

If you are asking whether or not someone could survive a dive to a depth of 5000 feet......... well, I believe that the only answer would be no; if you are talking about a diver by themselves. And by that I mean without any sort of vessel....

I believe that you would be dead long before you ever reached 5000 feet.
