Could anyone tell are we getting downsized again or another pay cut???

It looks like the PROPOSED budget, does not affect pay> The CM mentioned that they did that last year and were not going to do it this year. There are no sworn bodies being laid off, but we are down over 250 positions, so we are down sizing. We are possibly going to lose some civilian staff and this could be up to 100 people, that will be hard.
With no academy classes scheduled until almost through the summer of next year, we will continue to "downsize" through attrition. Thus there will be a lot of reorganization and restructuring. The Proposed budget is based on the Roll Back rate, which will mean an increase in taxes for some and has to be adopted by the BCC. We will not know until September, and possibly the first of October, when they ratify THE budget.

Stop spreading false rumors. By contract it's "supposed" to be for 12 months.

The 5% medical ins. contribution is in fact permanent. The other aspects expire in 12 months ie; flex, longevity. We will try to get the 5% reduced in further contracts perhaps 1% at a time if able. This is fact.

do you really think that commissioners martinez and giminez will vote for the budget, NOT. They are running for mayor next year and dont want the public to remember they voted to raise taxes
