Friendly Reminder

AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, my fundamental duty is to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the Constitutional rights of all men to liberty, equality and justice.

I WILL keep my private life unsullied as an example to all; maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn, or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. Honest in thought and deed in both my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the laws of the land and the regulations of my department. Whatever I see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to me in my official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of my duty.

I WILL never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.

I RECOGNIZE the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of the police service. I will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating myself before God to my chosen profession...law enforcement.

After reading the latest posts it seems that a lot of you need a reminder of what you took an oath to do. It's NOTstabbing your co-workers in the back, going into a predominately African American community because you don't have your arrest quota for the day, and lastly ling about your brothers and sisters just because they are the flavor of the week.

Your opinion is just like a$$holes, we all have one but we don't walk around showing it to everyone.

Now there are attacks on DC & MS? DC doesn't mess with any of you nor does MS. Are they now the new targets on JJ's list and you're just his little puppet? Do any of you have an original thought in your head? Do any of you even know what the above oath means and remember being sworn in and swearing to conduct yourself as such?

After reading this latest saga it's amazing that you're Police Officers. Half of you don't even know what the full scope of your job entails.
There are good officers at CPD, sadly most of them are being railroaded and driven out. Every department has their bad apples, lazy sloths, a$$kissers, liars, ego maniacs, and vindictive spiteful wastes of flesh. How do you service the public by responding and feeding into that negativity?

God help the citizens of Clermont, because by the looks of things a majority of their Police Officers won't.

The Officers that were fired were not "good officers". I would encourage the citizens of Clermont to conduct records request of ALL the officers who stand before council so rightously. IF YOU CHOSE TO READ IN TO RECORD information in those IA's in to record coucil record just be mindful that these officers are involving their own children in this matter. Some of the subject matter in these officers files from other agencies are NOT appropriate for children to hear. Remember these kids are only in the audiance because of their parents and we should protect the innocent.
