What is being cut and how long are we going to have to serve just to get to retirement and how many years are we going to have to average for said retirement?

Good news. Nothing changed this year.

The cuts will come after November's elections once the policians are securely in office. Bring your own KY.

That will all come in next years budget, it is going to be a blood bath, property values are down again this year as much as 21%, there is no way they can continue to do business as normal when the tax money is no longer there.

Look for major changes in your retirements, this year was just putting there toes in the water to gauge the reactions, next year is when all the cuts and changes are going to hit.

It is not looking good for next year, the retirement programs will take huge hits and you can forget about pay raises.

The predicted budget for 2011 shows a $6 billion shortfall. Just wait until the oil slick hits and Florida loses about 1/3 of its tourist income. Things are going to get MUCH worse for Florida state employees. Personally, I see layoffs, pay cuts, retirement cuts, and insurance increases for sworn employees.
