Word around the Book Store is that Chief Newland may be looking to advance her career some what. There's been talk that Commander Jackson is looking at retirement and will leave a command slot open on deck. Lord knows we wouldn't want to have an open slot, we really need to make sure we use all of our budget money so we don't have to give any back. If Jackson leaves and the good old friend of Thelbert's makes it in the door, our #2 man needs to dot all his i's and cross all his T's. We all know that the new appointment to Patrol wasn't the #2 man idea, so it may have shown that there is still hope that he has been identified for what he is and will soon be on the front desk with the other Chief. If this is to take place, they may want to hurry up. They've only got about 18 more months in office. By the way, that was good looking out for old Commissioner Green at the court house today. The #2 man also needs to learn in the future not to cross paths with good old boy Gary again. You need to accept the decision that Thelbert made to bring him back and recognize that as a Command decision. Keep up the good work.
