I see it now, The Admin is going to tell lies and any other bullsh-- story to get this rediculous contract ratified when it's brought back to the men and women doing the real work. They will keep their pensions completely intact at your expense. Enjoy the ride grunts......

05-17-2010, 06:28 PM
They would never do that. They have what's best in mind for everyone........ :(

So now that the smoke has cleared and pay cuts have happened as predicted, just curious as to how much of a pay or benefit cut admin took? 9 to 5, weekends off sitting behind a desk does sound dangerous and worthy of an 80,000 a year plus salary!

Hey Idiot Rookie, don't you realize that all of Admin has paid their dues on the road? They actually had respect for the job and earned the respect of their fellow officers while you were just a dumpster baby in some small town.

rumor has it there was a riot downtown sunday night, and LCSO had to come? any truth to that?

07-05-2010, 07:18 PM
Forget about Downtown, you should've seen what happened at Sabal Palm.

07-06-2010, 06:08 PM
i heard it was pretty bad down there, i give our bike cops lots of credit for dealing with all that, and hopefully the city never passes the 18 and up or its gonna be like that all the time down there.

07-07-2010, 08:14 AM
it was the crowd from a rap concert at the money hungry "Club Level". They sold 400 tickets for a maximum occupancy of 120! That club should be fined or shut down.

07-07-2010, 11:50 PM
JULY 5 2010 DOWNTOWN was a big deal why?? because (1) bike cop with the hip hop crowd of 2000 people minimum was overwhelming and dangerous..with the end result having him call for assistance to all available CITYWIDE units and then those that responded had to clean up the mess...along with our brothers and sisters in green (LCSO)..I THANKED YOU GUYS AND GALS THEN AND I WILL THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.

tell me WHY ?? was he down there by himself that night ..please any SUPERVISOR(3RD FLOOR PLEASE)..please enlighten me..(because i know you all read this website like bible study).

And it gets better..the same crowd ended up at SABAL PALM HOUSING PROJECT guns a-blazing..a crime scene to boot..with two other people hurt by a getaway car..and the same exact groups from DOWNTOWN involved..this was a DANGEROUS CROWD..lets see
HIP HOP CROWD +GUNS + ALCOHOL= A PART ONE MAJOR CRIME.

FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT OR EVEN WORSE..YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN :cop:

he was NOT by himself, his partner was on vacation and by 10pm he had other uniformed officers down there with him.

friday and saturday was the same thing, he was by himself until 10pm, and other uniformed officers were down there to assits, even though it was not busy they were down there to cover.

what happened that night could not have been avoided by having 2 bike cops, you could have had 10 bike cops down there and you still would have had to call for all the road units and the county.

07-11-2010, 12:56 AM
and as far as sabal goes, regardless if it was hip hop night downtown or anywhere else in the county, its always gonna end up back in sabal palm, this will never be rectified unless hip hop is banned from all of lee county.

OK!! I am not going to condemn these statements at excuses..but WE can do BETTER than this my friends... see the problem is that this crowd in normal circumstances (3) years ago would have been at the AMERICAN LEGION HALL located in the 3000 blk of MLK FT MYERS/DUNBAR FL.(HOME OF RAMPANT DRUG USE, GAMBLING, HOME OF THE OFFICIAL- TRIPLE HOMICIDE ON THE DANCE FLOOR BACK AROUND 7-8 YEARS AGO- AND NUMEROUS SHUT DOWNS AND CLOSINGS THRU THE YEARS) CAN YOU SAY***NUISANCE ABATEMENT****-it is SHUT DOWN-eventually with no home to go to this CROWD found it's way to HENDRY ST (BKA-THE RIVER DISTRICT).

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is NOW a law enforcement problem-SO how can WE adress this PROBLEM????????

if the infamous RIVER DISTRICT wants to become a real destination SWFL-hotspot for "NIGHTLIFE-FINE DINING-ELITE CLUBS etc.- they need to act like it. In other words prepare-communicate-strategically plan with CITY OFFICIALS, the POLICE DEPT (number one and his staff) get on the same page, create a liaison between them and US to formulate a plan that will make everyone safe(POLICE,PATRONS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC).

1-make the area a special tax district that will enable it to fund proper police personnel-such as they do in (TAMPA-YBOR CITY; ST PETE-BAYWALK-MIAMI-COCONUT GROVE)

2-PROPER POLICE PRESENCE- will deter crime, control crowds etc.

3- let's work on this NOW so when there are large crowds, and this area does evolve into (YBOR CITY-BAYWALK-COCONUT GROVE) we are READY.

LET US NEVER HAVE A -JULY 18, 2008-EVER AGAIN :cop:

FORT MYERS: A series of fights broke out throughout downtown Fort Myers early Monday morning after night club patrons began fighting at closing time.

According to the report, officers with the Fort Myers Police Department were on routine patrol in downtown for crowd control after the night clubs closed.

Police say a crowd of around 200 people circled around 19-year-old Berniece Rodriguez and 32-year-old Tatiana Brown as they fought in the street in front of Club Level.

Officers responded by trying to break the two apart, saying they were able to detain Brown, but Rodriguez resisted.

According to police, Rodriguez was punching and slapping people in the crowd, forcing officers to use a taser to subdue her.

As Brown was being escorted to the patrol car, police say 22-year-old Tacara Brown tried to free her from police, forcing officers to try to detain her.

Officers say Tacara Brown began to thrash around on the ground, kicking and slapping until they used a taser on her to get her to stop.

As officers were detaining Tacara, police say 29-year-old Shalai Gollman tried to get in the way of officers trying to detain Tacara.

Despite hearing commands to stop, Gollman proceeded and was then arrested, according to police.

Police say after the four women were arrested, numerous fights broke out amongst the crowd that reached over 500 people along Hendry Street, Main Street, the Main Street Garage and the parking lot across from Hotel Indigo.

According to the report, backup officers from the Fort Myers Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff's office were dispatched to control the crowd.

Polices say it took 24 officers as well as K9 units to take control of the street.

When officers gathered information about the four suspects in the fight, police say they discovered Rodriguez was underage and was at the 21-and-over club.

Officers cited Rodriguez and Club Level for allowing a minor in an alcoholic establishment.

The four women were taken to the Lee County Jail and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

NOONE has learned from the past..if it continues it may cost someone (on the top floor) their job

Easy soltuion shuit down the two hip hop clubs. ive been here for almost 20 years, downtown will always have bar fights, but before the hip hops clubs opened downtown never have we had poeple trying to fight the police. Stop trying to manage the people and go to the source, inspect and watch the clubs closely you will find enough violations to shut em down.

Do everyone a favor, and shut up and don't ever speak again in your life. God forbid you have to do your job! There are going to be fights where people fight the police all the time! It has nothing to do with "hiphop clubs" . You go to a DV call in Dunbar and i'm sure the person you are trying to arrest is going to try and fight. Everyone fights, who the hell would WANT to go to jail. Besides that is YOUR job. You are a Police Officer, therefore, part of your job description, is to handle situations like these. So stop being a pu**y and get out there and do your damn job! You must be someone who has been here for a long time and all you want to do is park behind an empty building and smoke ur cigs or dip your tobacco!

I am pretty sure that fighting did not start until the advent of hip hop music, right??? I see why some hate city cops
