So what's keeping ya, loser?!?! Why don't you join them? Could it be that the economy so sucks, that even the locals are laying off? And if you say no, then not only are you a loser, but your a liar too. Here's a suggestion TRNCPO: tonight, when you're home alone, thinking about what BS you're going to post on this site, why don't you take that 6 pack of Natty Light you got sitting in the fridge, open them all up, pour them on your left hand, and get your Saturday night date drunk!!!

That was brutal, but very funny  ! The local cops are hurting just as much as we are! Nobody is hiring and nobody is making any money! You just have to hunker down and hope that we will turn the corner soon!

Why compare state workers to county workers?
While we are comparing I note I make less than teachers-arguably also state workers, with equivalent degrees.
Also make less than brain surgeons and talk show hosts

Teachers make more because they work harder.

Teachers make more because they work harder.

BS - teachers only make more than some state people because they benefitted from the housing bubble just like the local LEO's while the state got squat those years.

05-16-2010, 04:37 PM
Teachers make more because they work harder.

Teachers only work 9 months out of the year, they cry and whine about everything, they polute our youths minds with left wing B.S and all in all they have done a miserable job educating our kids. The education system in the US is a disgrace and a utter failure!

05-16-2010, 05:50 PM
Sorry, teachers do not get 12 weeks off in the summer. Let's not stretch the truth.

05-17-2010, 12:14 AM
Well if you count the fact that kids are in school for 180 days a year, that means they are not teaching the other 185 days! Doesn't sound like too hard of a job!

05-17-2010, 12:31 AM
Yeah, just like a caseload of 40 must not be much of a job as compared to a caseload of 80.

05-17-2010, 12:33 AM
And if an officer is not in the office, he must not be working.

05-17-2010, 11:55 PM
You're comparing apples to oranges! Nice try!

05-18-2010, 01:22 AM
It is not a try. Officers working in the office constantly complain about covering cases for others who are not there "working". Regular probation officers constantly say it must be nice to have a CC caseload. Drug offender officers constantly talk about other caseload being easier because they do not have the urine screens. The comparison probation officer vs. teacher made on this board is very similar to the above comparisons. Either you can compare or you can't.
