Proposed 3% cut

The above bold quote is from the above linked article. It will be interesting if passed in the budget how our department will come up with the 3 percent. I can think of a couple of demotions and a few layoffs that would better this department moral wise while saving the needed 3 percent.

State-government employees, going on five years without a general pay raise, have been spared a salary reduction and won't have to start chipping in to the Florida Retirement System, under budget agreements worked out by House and Senate negotiators.
