Where is the Union ?

Where is the FOP standing ? We know where the Vice-President stands, and that is with his head up the Captain's a$$. How come the President nor the Rep. have reached out to the paying members of the union to see what all the commotion is about ? Where is the treasurer at ? We elected these people because they wanted to get us state retirement, and better benefits. What happen to all that talk ? The union has done nothing other than steal our money ! The reason that we elected the FOP as our bargaining unit was because they were strong, and stood up to the ediots like we have running our department. Why is Puleo quiet in a time of crisis ? Puleo always talks how he stands up to these kind of guys running our department.....so where is all that talk now ? We want a vote of no confidence against this administration !

Unfortunately our Union has abandoned us. A vote of no confidence will get us no where. The current Chief has already had a unanimous vote of no confidence filed against him by the members of the department and the Mayor has made it publicly known that even if 100% of the department votes no confidence, the Chief is not going anywhere. Open your eyes people, while we sit by and do nothing these thugs are bringing more and more groupies on board and before you know it the majority of the department will be loyal to them for hiring them. We must stand together and petition the Florida Public Employee Relations Commission and if the current union is not doing their job they need to be dismissed and replaced with one who will. Each and every day the collective bargaining agreement between the Town and the FOP is being violated and manipulated to benefit these thugs. I realize that many of us have families and in these difficult economic times we need our jobs and income. Unfortunatly there comes a point and time in our journey through the roads of life that we must make a decision on which path to take. The time is now! We can either continue to stand by and be part of the probelm or we can step up and be part of the soulution. I know that aside from me there are many of you who are fed up with the abuse of power and other questionable actions that are taking place in the department and the town. This department was and could continue to be a wonderful place to work, as it was before these thugs got here.
