Vote No On Sheriff's Proposals

Please vote NO to the sheriff's latest proposal to have us defer the 2 percent for six months. If you read the FINE print, it says he will let us work the Pompano schedule for no longer than six months. After that, he will most likely change it to the Central Broward model. Let's face it, we will never see that 2 percent. The sheriff will come up with some other excuse or try and take something else away.

It seems we can't control our lousy reps in the PBA. However, we control the vote when it comes to the contract. How is it that Lahiff has closed door meetings with the sheriff? Does anybody agree that Lahiff is probably giving the sheriff our strategy in negotiations? Why does Pat and the Executive Board allow this? These are questions that need to be answered. Mr. Lahiff, do you care to respond to this? I dare you won't. You lost your cause with the men this time.

He will not step down. Just the opposite. The PBA has agreed to not count the rep votes on Wednesday like they are supposed to. Instead, they are going to wait until after the vote. This way the PBA can use their arse kissers a little longer. The PBA knows Big Beef is not gonna get back in and will try and rig the vote again.

I agree, the pba is the biggest joke in this place as of late.

OK...I only suggested FOP because they are established and they have a good legal team.....get legal protection and DUMP THE PBA. The PBA will then kiss our AZZ......our dues fund the RICO PBA now.....that was my point.

WOW! I didn't know Rothstein was employed by the FOP. How deep do the ties go?

Vote No Again! Then in two months lets have another VOTE to see if we wanna have a vote to vote on not seeing the 2% raise. Lamberti can't keep his word and his undersheriff Deputy, oh sorry his Executive Officer, will work on your behalf. What happened to all the IUPA cards that were in our mailboxes, they seemed to have vanished overnight without anyone getting a chance to vote. Is IUPA the right choice, maybe or maybe not, but anything or any change from the PBA is the only choice. Pat H hasn't worked in ten years, he's been on his cushy assignment for his entire career with BSO. Does he have your best interest in mind, absolutely NO. Will he work for you, no he's only working for himself. If anyone can find a good legal service or organization to take the place of the PBA let us know so we can change on our own. As we know this Union will not work for you, only for themselves at this point. Maybe we should just have a VOTE once a month to keep in pratice, maybe even cover how to vote the PBA way in In-service.
