At a meeting not too long ago you asked about the budget. Scarola took you upstairs to look at the books. What did you find? What is it that you think they are doing? It takes money to run an organization. Travel for FOP business is a necessity. Travel to the National and State Conferences is necessary. Travel to Tallahassee is required to lobby for or against law/standards changes. A brand new person coming in to run the show would be a disaster without some experience coming up the ranks as a board member of the FOP. You cry, cry wolf, but you have no proof or issues to complain about. Have you ever been to trainng on pensions issues, bargaining issues, legal issues. Have you ever been to Health Trust, FIPO Pension Trust or 1% Meetings to learn something? This is so true. You just don't step into a position where you are going to make decisions which may affect everyone or a position of "trust" without have any formal training or education. The individuals in these positions have many years of experience doing what they do, you just don't learn by asmosis. It is comendable that you show interest in serving the members but first get educated.

Correct me if I am wrong but I’m under the assumption that if we have three full time Sergeants assigned to the Fop they are suppose to attend mandatory these health trust meetings, FIPO Pension Trust meetings and the 1% meetings to learn and inform us to what’s going on. Attending a few training classes on pensions issues, bargaining issues, and legal issues are not going to make you an expert. The union highest level of proficiency seems to be attacking its members for asking to many questions.

Remember the 3%, or should I say 6% if you also include the raise we did not receive from 2008. The relationship will snowball after then. As a union member I am asking why cant we just log on to a computer and vote for our union board??? At a meeting not too long ago you asked about the budget. Scarola took you upstairs to look at the books. What did you find? What is it that you think they are doing? It takes money to run an organization. Travel for FOP business is a necessity. Travel to the National and State Conferences is necessary. Travel to Tallahassee is required to lobby for or against law/standards changes. A brand new person coming in to run the show would be a disaster without some experience coming up the ranks as a board member of the FOP. You cry, cry wolf, but you have no proof or issues to complain about. Have you ever been to trainng on pensions issues, bargaining issues, legal issues. Have you ever been to Health Trust, FIPO Pension Trust or 1% Meetings to learn something? You may, and I say may, be a good cop, but you are not prepared to respresent anyone in the FOP or the bargaining unit, at least not now and not with this attitude. Quit pumping yourself up with this nonsense.
This is so true. You just don't step into a position where you are going to make decisions which may affect everyone or a position of "trust" without have any formal training or education. The individuals in these positions have many years of experience doing what they do, you just don't learn by asmosis. It is comendable that you show interest in serving the members but first get educated.

A new FOP board is overdue, lets come up with new candidates for office next year..
The current board should consider recruiting new members for the future, so we'll have some experience seated on the board.

From experience you get cornered by certain FOP board members in the station as they stand over you watching who you choose They then count these " absentee ballots" than can be manipulated and then the following meeting they pass a vote to detroy the absentee ballots.

You fail to see that they keep making broad accusations without providing direct evidence to prove anything. I want them to give us proof, then we can get rid of those doing wrong. Proof is very simple. The books are open to all. Get the proof. Like The the old lady in the wendy's ads, Where's the beef? Everything said about the lexus owner was based on factual things that happened. I just ask for PROOF of all these allegation. They are accusing people of "scaming" lodge funds, and if true, they need to be impeached, expelled from the lodge and prosecuted. Put up or shut up. Very simple concept.
