why so many cars at he Davie station?

What are you talking about, we're still using them. Using them to take up space and help when it rains to run the water off. Doing a great job wouldn't you say?

You will find that at most FHP stations as vacant positions were cut statewide due to the decimated budget. We have plenty of cars with no one to drive them.

Makes sense but looked like cars were being brought from other areas and stored there.

The cars belong to a Lt Col in Auxiliary. He thinks the Davie station is his personal parking lot and no one will tell him no. He had no problem badmouthing Col. Knight so he must have Czernis in his back pocket. Makes the place look trashy and eliminates parking for troopers.
