Hey Cuz and Big Worm, most of us are happy with the schedule we work. Don't go trying to screw with it. If you cannot handle the shift work anymore then either promote or retire. There are officers here older than you that work it with no complaint. For those in high places, they are only trying to do what would benefit them through seniority. Please leave it alone most of us are happy. Those that would change would only want permanent midnights or days while keeping the same hours.

Leave it alone Cuz and Worm.

Permanent Shifts would be GREAT!!!!

Okay AgLaw are you on the pipe? The only people that would like permanent are the people that have been here the longest. Us Low men would be stuck permanent Midnights by the time it fell out.....whatever.....

What's wrong with permanent Midnights? Seniority isn't hard to get here. We have nearly 100 officers with less than 3 years. You could eventually get days if you wanted them. Heck a lot of lazy old timers would go to nights to avoid doing any work.

no way for permanents, but why is 2 or 3 month rotation so bad. it takes the body 3 weeks to adjust.

I have no problem with permanent. @ my station there will be a fight for midnights, which leaves me with days. Seniority brings nothing else in this department other than side stations. Shift choice would be a good reward for seniority.

We need 4 tens, its so simple that any body cann figure it out. Perm days or nights with a shift that swings.

Since it is so simple to figure out then work up a schedule for 4-10's and post it up. 4-10's are hard for 24 hour staffing. For 24 hour staffing 8's or 12's are best, and anybody that worked the 8's before would never want to go back to them. One weekend off every three months+ having to double back in from days to midnights. IT SUCKED!!!!

Maybe longer rotations or permanent shifts but stay on 12's. 12's are fair to everyone.

Longer rotations definately. 2 months on each, or 3 months on each before you have to switch.

Major Failure, Mini Me, and Capitan Red Man will never allow it. Even though it does not affect them they will not allow it. To progressive for their brains to comprehend.
