Three people were injured after a car accident that involved a Broward Sheriff's deputy near the Swap Shop on Monday night.
The crash happened about 6:20 p.m. at Sunrise Boulevard and Northwest 31st Street.
A deputy was driving a marked cruiser with its emergency lights activated when it collided with an SUV, the Sheriff's Office said.
The deputy and two people in the SUV were taken to Plantation General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
