IS OPA-LOCKA A GOOD PD?

Good Morning,

I couldn't find a message board for the Opa-Locka PD. I moved to Dade recently and am trying to figure out which depts to stay away from. Can someone please tell me the word on Opa-Locka and if it is a good police dept.

I don't know anything about Dade County but I want to work here. I don't wanna work for Miami or Miami-Dade only because i prefer to work for a smaller dept.

Any information about which smaller dept is best and who to stay away from would be great. Thanks!

Stay away from Opa-Locka if u want to make 20 an hour for the rest of ur career. I'm road patrol at MGPD and made over 100 grand my first year here more than the DC at Opa- Locka

Opa Locka isn't a well paid department but you can get your feet wet and learn how to be a cop there. You will be introduced to an aray of call for police service. I had the privilege to work those guys as since our cities meet and they all seem to be good officers.
