He sent a contigent and an honor guard to the memorial. That is proper. Plant city PD Chief was not there, USF not there so give it a rest.

PROPER would've been to show up and pay your respects to a man who has interacted with TTPD officers numerous times, helped run tracks, backed us up on stop, etc, and not just sent a contingent of people because that is all that is 'acceptable'. The fact that PCPD or USFPD brass weren't there is no excuse.

PCPD Chief was there...I stood right beside him.

USF Police were there also......probably 10 or so of them. They always send a least a few to local funerals to pay respect.
