Agencies taken over by the SO

Greetings all .. First of all, God bless fhe men and women of blue!!

My question is this, If the S.O. takes over an agency (like it did Frostproof, Eagle Lake, Fort Meade and Dundee) l heard most, if not all, officers at the agency get a job w/ the S.O. pending a background check and medical exam .. What happens to the ones that live outside the county and can't afford to move into the county? Please.. only serious answers .. Thank you.

Our policy is you HAVE to live in the County. New hires from outside the County are given a specified amount of time to move into the County....I would have to assume the same policy would apply to Officers in the situation you describe...Not sure, but I think they get someting like 6 months to move into the county.
