-Should an openly gay male officer be allowed to search a male suspect?
-Should an openly gay female officer be allowed to search a female suspect?
-Would that suspect have the right to complain or request a straight officer when learning that they had been or are about to be searched by someone of the same sex that is openly gay?
-Is the practice of having heterosexual officers severely restricted or prohibited in patting down or searching a person of the opposite sex outdated given the fact that homosexual officers are not restrcicted in their searches or pat downs of persons of the same sex?
-Is this topic of any concern to the Wilton Manors Police Officers or their chief?
-Are we afraid to talk about this topic or should it be addressed before an issue arises?

Please, the guy with the homophobia rants, just stay on the sidelines and read.

Our chief would never address this issue. It would require him to think and that does not happen much.

Youre just trying to stir up trouble with your original post! Youre counting on someone saying something homophobic so then you can call cops homophobes!

homophobe this homophobe that
whatever
Ricky P will not talk about it now, if he ever was, because someone else brought it up.
The prolem is that it is a matter of time before there is a complaint and how do you defend an openly gay male in a complaint that he groped a male suspect. Fact is you can't. There is no reason you cant call a straight male over for the search, period.
