FMPD advisory board holding first meeting tonight

The Fort Myers citizens police advisory board will meet for the first time tonight.

The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in city council chambers at city hall, 2200 Second St.

The board was approved earlier this year. It will take citizen complaints, review police action and provide advice to the police chief.

Fort Myers voters will vote on another model of the board — which gives its members subpoena power — in the November general election.

We will see after the vote it will be tossed out in court

Eventually it will go to a higher court and they will make the right decision. I think that the board will be a good thing, since it will weed out you racist officers. We all know that there are alot of you right here in the good ole fmpd.If you were not wearing that badge the majority would be nothing more than your typ[ical punk nerds.

Don't kid yourself but we have racist black cops in the agency as well,they know who they are,and it sounds like you're one of them

Racist---lets not forget all the African American Officers who felt they were being slighted and met at a downtown hotel so they could join together and fight the MAN. Naww, that wasn't racist, huh? Racist---well then how did we get the Minority bull crap stuff started here. Started with promoting African Americans, then Hispanics, and now Females. Once again, we aren't racist.
