A Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy arrested last year on charges of pulling out his gun and threatening to shoot patrons while off-duty at a suburban Lake Worth nightclub was fired, according to sheriff's officials.

Oscar Maturana, 35, was fired on July 14.

He was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 21 on charges of aggravated assault for allegedly threatening to "bust a cap" in patrons during an altercation outside the Club La Isla Del Encanto at 1969 S. Military Trail, according to sheriff's reports.

Those charges were later dropped, according to Palm Beach County Jail records.

Maturana told investigators after that incident that he was sleeping in his Range Rover when he was awakened by men throwing bottles, so he drew his badge and Glock .40-caliber pistol and pointed it at them, according to the report.

A bouncer at the club told deputies Maturana pulled his gun during an argument, pointed it at a group of people and threatened to "bust a cap in all your [expletive deleted]," according to the report.

An internal affairs investigation found that Maturana violated department policy, Channel 12 reported.

This guy was bad news from the start!

This is the guy who had a direct link to the Kernal's office and filed a complaint and skipped several chains of command because he was one of the Kernal's boys...How is it he can take a complaint directly to the top and disregard chain of command? He got let go because the back-trail leads to bigger fish that need to go too...

CAN YOU SAY "F.O.G."

Anyone can say, "FOG" but when they do, all his little babies start jumping on here defending him (actually, they are just attempting to keep their special deal in tact) and that is one major thing that is slowly - no, rapidly - killing the PBSO. Until somebody squeezes him out the door and into his vehicle with special springs and watches his taillights leave PBSO, ain't nuttin' gonna change, folks. So, either we demand a change at the top or we just keep on getting sicker and sicker.
