I work security at a shopping center.
A few months ago a man went to the information booth and decided he's
buy 2,000 dollars worth of gift cards. The only thing was that he used a
counterfit credit card to buy them.

The cashier noticed the card and calls me over. He had also produced a
Virginia State ID card to the cashier which I looked at. I asked him if
he was for real or was he pulling our leg?

He looked puzzled and said no that's my ID card. The front of the Virginia
ID card looked fine the only problem I had with this card was that on the back
of the VIRGINIA ID card it said "THE STATE OF FLORIDA RETAINS ALL THE RIGHTS"

At this moment I called 9-1-1 and had two other security officers stay with him. We held
him until the police arrived to arrest him.

Identity theft is prolific in credit card companies. This is why they, along with credit card call centers are required to follow certain regulations about credit card information, such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
