Anyone heard that the Chief was placed on administrative leave?

The Chief has been suspended, The Captain of CID is sure to follow in close step behind him. We have patrol Lt.'s who hold onto evidence for 10 days without saying a word, if we had gotten on this ASAP there would have been bad press for sure but the stench of a "cover up" would not be following us around like flies from a corpes in the sun. Who is at the helm here? Who is the Captain of Patrol? Where has IA been in this whole fiasco, is the FBI working this case? If so why aren't they working the case then? None of their Agents have been at the PD since prior to the Hollywood 20 shooting. They need to get moving so we can put this episode behind us and move foward. Whatever it takes to make that happen needs to occur or the Department will slowly degrade into a completely split agency. Divide and Conquer.........

Acting Chief B has been handed a mess that he will not be able to fix. This issue has been building in the building since prior of Abbott. We have run to the bottom of the pathetically shallow pool of supervisors within the walls of SPD. You want to turn this place around it will have to start with the bosses. Everyone needs to be held accountible regardsless of rank. Rough times lay ahead unless someone steps up to the plate and grabs this problem and turn it into an opportunity to make the Department a better place to work.

I agree. Captains WS and PS need to go. Lt. R should not escape with a reprimand given that his omission was a statutory violation. The coverup is embarrassing and stupid. If the Chief and CID can cook this one up, God knows what else is buried in the agency. Only good news is that there's now an opportunity for long-standing problems to be corrected.

The sad thing is that no one who knows all of the brass at SPD is surprised by any of this.
Having the current Acting Chief is like having Joe Biden take over as President...really scarry!!!!!
