Why does the report conclude with the officers needing more training?

14I reports go from 500 to over 3,000. and everyone knows a 14i reports doe not get investigated.

It is obvious from this report that there is a atmosphere of "Intent" and of course officer will not cooperate and point finger,s you would get targeted by this administration.

report. Saavedra said Socorro advised him that the report was not a 27-theft that was a
28-vandalism. Saavedra said Socorro ordered him to change the report to a 28-
vandalism. Saavedra said Socorro insisted to him that it was a vandalism with a theft
therein and to make it a vandalism. Saavedra said he rewrote the report as a 28-
vandalism as directed by Socorro.

It should be noted that the current copy of the incident report has "Vandalism/Theft"
under type of offense. Saavedra advised that the "/Theft" was added by someone else.
Saavedra said the handwriting and the pen used clearly are different from the remainder
of the incident report. Saavedra said he also noted that a second F.S.S. 812.13 was
added by someone else. Saavedra did not know who added that information to the
report. Saavedra stated that he is aware that a sergeant needs to approve all reports
before they can be submitted. Saavedra stated that the sergeant might have made the
changes.

No evidence of sworn tape or writing statements from officers stating, that they were directly order to do this criminal act. Ok, so armed with these information you went and started a criminal investigation basically on us. With a possible result of our brothers and sisters facing criminal and administrated charges and possibly losing their jobs.

If any wrong doing was discovered I guess then, we has a union would have had to waiste hundreds of thousands of dollars on attorneys fees to defend these same members.

Talk about throwing stones at glass houses. If you're so disgusted with the FOP, why are we called every time you get into trouble? Major Gomez knows you're his boy. Writing all this garbage isn't going to get you more overtime. You love to bring drama to meetings. You wanted a special meeting for the Sergeant's exam. It was done. I support a democratic process. The webpage is being worked on. The member (a regular member just like you) that was responsible for that didn't follow up on it. It is being worked on by a professional web designer and should be out soon. The comment of "WE HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN YOU" is your comment and doesn't reflect the general membership.

Maybe you're just mad because Major Gomez won't make you the honorary school crossing guard for the Charter School next to Central. When we have a new administration, I will ask them to give you that position.

Your comment about the FOP not focusing on what is important is another farse. Our current union contract has gotten our wages up to par. We haven't had an increase in our healthcare or PENSION contributions. We won in arbritration the light duty/off duty grievance and now the City is appealing that decision because they know they are going to lose. We fought for our sisters that were wrongfully terminated because of their ties to others (talk about disrimination). We won in step four grievance Officer's rights being violated against this vindictive and oppressive leadership. The FOP has fought hard to improve your Officer Bill of Rights which was made law on July 1st of this year. We are fighting for members that have not gotten their correct promotional raises. A grievance was filed on the parrity clause against the City of Miami. You don't call that fighting?

The interviews of political candidates was performed by the Executive Board. And, once decisions of who was going to get the endorsement, it was brought up to the membership. Just so you know, we had a vote on two endorsements for poltical seats last meeting. I don't know if you were there. But, you really need to get your facts straight.

As far as the 165 page report from FDLE, I read the reports. The bottom line is this department's reporting is at least 27% wrong. And burglaries were under-reported by 40 something percent. By the way, this is only researching 14 information reports. How about:
27m turned into 28 reports?
29 turned into 32,32a or 27 reports?

As a membership we don't want JOE SANCHEZ....Mr FRS like I like to call him. He wanted to take away your 1%. He wanted to take away your 64 points. He wanted to take away your private pension. He gave away our Orange Bowl land to a private corporation while the City is going into financial shambles. Yeah, he would make a great Mayor. TOMAS REGALADO is who we have endorsed. He supported our raises. When we campaigned outside City Hall for our union contract, he is the only one that came out to hear our views and concerns.

So Let me get the facts straight, You went to FDLE to make these criminal allegations without direct proof that the administration was ordering this. Your sole evidence was our brothers and sisters ( who are paying union members ) hand writing reports that you threw on top of a desk in front of the media. ( at the time a current criminal investigation )Allegations on the same union members as president you took an oath to protect. No evidence of sworn tape or writing statements from officers stating, that they were directly order to do this criminal act. Ok, so armed with these information you went and started a criminal investigation basically on us. With a possible result of our brothers and sisters facing criminal and administrated charges and possibly losing their jobs.

If any wrong doing was discovered I guess then, we has a union would have had to waiste hundreds of thousands of dollars on attorneys fees to defend these same members.

Mr. President do i have to remind you that your priorities to our members are protecting our rights, pay raises, benefits, unity, and moral. What you have created during your tenure has been the opposite. After being here for twenty years i have never seen a union president created so much diversity and distraction from the real issuess. What happen to parity with the fire dept? Concentrate on what is important not what car the chief drives. ( what the fazugie was that all about?)
