DAVIE - Break out the business attire and resumes (again): Some of South Florida's top employers are taking part in a job fair today.

The South Florida Diversity Job Expo is taking place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84.

According to organizers, more than two dozen employers will be in attendance including: The Broward Sheriff's Office, Comcast, Florida Power & Light, the U.S. Army, Kaplan University, Prudential Insurance and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The job fair is free but business attire is required and applicants are asked to bring plenty of resumes


Why is BSO actively out recruiting when staff is being told that they may be let go as of 7/31/2009. Can't some of the staff being let go, be retrained to fill the spots that are open. Why are they taking and processing applications for jobs that they claim to be laying off???,,, how many hundred of thousands of dollars is being spent on all of this?? and why??

Always remember this, if the PIO is speaking, it is all lies. Just look at the statements released pertaining to the missing South Carolina Governor. Either right hand does not know what left hand is doing or it is all lies. I worked there for over 25 years and never bleieve anything until they try to hide it. They strongly believe the public cannot handle the truth or they are too stupid or they could not care less about the public. Just because elected officials and the police work for the public does not give the bpublic to right to know the truth. They who make and enforce the law are above the law.
