Is the pay better than VCSO?

Im going to apply to some departments in probably 2 years time and VCSO is currently on the top of my list since I live in Deland. Does the pay step plan work well for you here? Ive been hearing a lot of complaints about it in VCSO and would rather not be stuck with base pay after 10 years.

Perhaps you should call both agencies and ask about pay a little closer to when you plan on applying.

Ask yourself how many deputies go from Volusia to Orange County (a few) to how many go from Orange to Volusia to get your answer. And read the Volusia Board as well.
