Hopefully starting with you Mr. Dumass! This isnt the forum to discuss it, try attending a membership meeting.

Start with the guy or guys that do the red light camera what a joke. Taking away the power from the street cops and motor guys. You all do a better job thats why I have lived here for 25 years. Not because of a money hunrgy camera

I hope there are budget cuts and not tax increases!

Im a pines police officer and a pines resident. As a resident i would much rather see a raise in taxes then layoffs with less officers on the street and no school resource officers in our schools. Just look at what the sheriff had to do, no S.R.O.in our High Schools and Middle Schools. Wait until the next fight at flanagan gets out of hand and your son or daughter is there.

I'm a Pines resident too, and last time I called the Pembroke Pines Police on a weekend morning for a vandalism they took 45 minutes to respond, and did nothing.
The next morning when I went to breakfast, there were 4 units there eating!
I'll stick to sending my kids to self defense classes and keeping my dogs hungry!
Next thing you know you are paying 80% of your income in taxes.
Taxes are high enough!

"I'll stick to sending my kids to self defense classes and keeping my dogs hungry!"

That's a good strategy Reynald. You bank on that and we''ll see how well it works for you. Make sure you reduce the rations, guess poochie was asleep when the vandalism started.

Equating a response time on one day to what you saw on a different day is stupid. There is absolutely no connection and it weakens your argument.

And you're gonna "pounce" with what type of stats? Maybe the same ones that are potentially causing you to lose cities now like Pompano and Oakland Park, soon to be followed by Cooper city.
Before you make comments relating to BSO's appetite for eating up Cities, look to see how Dade is doing since they tried to consolidate and make one agency decades ago. Cities now are tired of the political B.S. and looking to create their own agencies.
Me personally, I would love one agency within this County. From what I've seen, it will never happen, so keep your comments to yourself instead of expressing them on every website in Broward County you elitist MORON!!!!!

Our shifts are separated into three shifts (A,B, and C shift). Each shift has two squads. Those squads rotate their days off every three months. With a guess (without looking at my calendar), I've kinda figured out that your initial complaint was made before 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning, and with the midnight squad that does almost absolutely NOTHING.

As for the B shift $#itbagz that were stuffing their faces, I apologize for their congregating nothingness. I hate 'em just as much as you do. Next time, either get their names, car numbers, or the amount of time (dates, entry and exit times) they spent at that particular restaurant. As a resident and tax payer of this city (like yourself) I'm tired of seeing it. I'm tired of bringing my own lunch that I have to eat within 45 minutes while these idiots take an hour and a half (plus) to eat an omelet, blt, or a steak. Thanks to the rights they've been given after their probationary periods, we can't get rid of them. You can though, if you guys would just open your mouths and give dates, times, names, and any further proof that will show any sort of pattern that may force them out.

These slugs affect my pay, and our taxes. Without numerous complaints by numerous/various people with solid proof, there's no way our overly paid and top heavy administration, or officers are going to be forced out.

Our "administrators" make well over the six figure mark for doing basically nothing (except delegating, running their own business, gaining a four year degree on our dollar, or calling themselves "the boss" on their facebook page). You'll never see them since they dress as any business person would, and drive a gas guzzling SUV or Crown Vic. They also haven't been to a firearms or defensive tactics class in years, but yet they try their hardest to make everyone else believe they are the gears that make this agency go 'round. These 6 figure idiots are the ones that need to be addressed by you. These idiots can be fired at will if you would just make a stink about them. Three or four firings will save this city close to a million bucks. Calculating the wasted time, the time delegated to subordinates, and the wasted college studies, we would be saving well over $2million.

I'd be worried if I were you too....BSO has plenty to offer the guys who want to work and not sit in a donut shop all day ....dont be so afraid to do your job by hiding all day ....by the way you are right there is plenty of politics and I am not an elitist, just a cop unlike yourself who resorts to childish rants

Whatever you say brother.
I would like to know what BSO has to offer that may be more appealing than my agency.

I can only guess you'll be using lines like "better advancement" and "more opportunities" just to get us on your wavelength. Perhaps you'll use a few of the megalomaniac comments like "bigger is better" and aphorisms that try to make us believe "you're better than us" because you have more Officers (sorry... "Deputies").

Sorry pal. I've seen your posts on other agencies. Your responses have all sucked and basically have no merit. Your comments have even created a sort of bubble like atmousphere that puts YOU (the almighty BSO) in the center, and the rest of us "smaller" agencies circumnavigating around you.

I called you an "elitist" with absolute intention. There was nothing childish in my remarks, even though I received nothing but "childish" assertive banter from you. If it makes you happy and (hopefully) go away, I'll tell you right now that yes, you are the best. I look up to you and always will, including those before, and above you. We all try our hardest and not only strive, but also aspire to be as almighty and equal to you Mr/Mrs/Ms Deputy.

Hey 45 minutes is nothing. I'm a Pines resident and a Miami Police Officer. Call the MPD for a vandalism and it's a three hour wait or you have to go to a sub-station to make a report. I'll take 45 minutes anytime. Enjoy your breakfast boys!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what it costs our city to send one of our wanna be cowboy Captains/Commanders to the fake FBI academy? I don't mean just the cost of the school, I mean the cost of everything (hotel, food, car rental, etc).
I'm only curious because my school requests always get denied or held on to until the day after the class has started. School requests that are either free or around $100-$200.
It seems as though the ones I should be looking up to, are making sure I stay down at the level I'm at. God forbid I try to better myself as an Officer.

Since you are curious, the FBI Academy is paid through the FBI (tax dollars) and includes the school, room and board, transportation (to and from).
