i am interested in applying with the bartow pd but i would like to find out some information on its benefits. like retirement? age? percent? and i heard something called cola? what is that? any info would help thanks

The police have their own pension system. Officers contribute 4%. Vesting is in 6 years. 20 years regardless of age is availabe for retirement. Multiplier is 3.15 percent. Up to a 5 year drop available. Cola kicks in after 5 years.

Health insurance is free for full time working employees.

A cola is a Cost of Living Allowence. Its a raise every year after you retire.
