Moving to sunrise

I am a LEO here in S. Fla, and am looking at houses in Sunrise. I was looking west of 110 Ave., from Sunrise to Commercial. Any areas to stay away from in that area? Thanks

anywhere west of Flamingo Rd.

The area from 102 ave all the way to Hiatus and between 20th street (i beleive is the south street) until the 2800 block is by far the best bang for your buck. Small percentages of 21s and the area is very nice. The houses west of flamingo are nice also. I dont know who said that the houses west of Flamingo are bad, but im asumming they dont work for us.

I would stay away from the 115th and Oakland area. Nothing extremely wrong with the area, but we do get a lot of calls for service in that area.

Windward isles is north of oakland and west of 115th. Full with BSO/Davie/Lauderhill/Sunrise LEO and nicknamed copville. Both Marked and Unmarked on almost every block. Stay north of Oakland though as the elementary school is better north of Oakland if you have little ones.

How about the Woodstock area. I think it is west of Nob HIll, and a little north of Sunrise?
