I hear Chief Graham is being sued by a number of his officers, is this true? What is going on at Clermont? Is it true that there are now three lawsuits and there will be more? I dont understand Clermont Pd and it's city, why is it being run like this? Why doesn't the agency ever support it's good officers?

02-07-2009, 11:03 PM
They treat people that way because they are told to do so. One lawsuit is going to trial in mid April and it is going to cost the city a SH*T load of money. Can't wait to see who loses jobs over this one. Morale is about as low as it can be because it's pretty sad when an officer that has no experience gets poor eval's (the supervisor was ordered to change it, to make the officer look better on paper) and becomes the crime prevention officer......WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!! Several lawsuits are coming in the near future but the chief will probably be gone before they hit. Hopefully the city manager will be right behind him. Clermont PD has GOOD officers the problem is that the city manager the chief and the captains could care less. Let em keep the officers that clear calls without reports who run the other direction when told of a crime that just happened ones that sit in the office all day doing nothing but playing video games on the city computers or reading saltwater magizines......wow i bet if the taxpayers in Clermont knew what was really going on............... but in the near future they will!!!!!!!!

Not that I do not agree with you, but I believe you mean "couldn't" care less. "Could" care less leaves a wide range of level of care.

It's nice to see that you at least have the balls to say what you think behind the veil of anonymity. Clearly you are ill informed and you've gotten too involved in the grape vine that is only bearing soured fruit.

If you are this miserable then go somewhere else.

Be a man, stop hiding behind the badge for the strength of the spine that you clearly don't have.

You should be thankful to at least have a job in this economic environment and apply more of the energy that you are expending on being a disgruntled employee to the job and the oath that you took.

Are you too not stealing money from the city when you 56 and spew the feces that you consider viable issues?

Your negativity and those others that sit in the cesspool that has been created by those who were hired in the old regime, who would've NEVER gotten hired under the current regime, and who have so much documented negative behavior that they can't go anywhere else, is the REAL problem in this department.

Suck it up and shut it up and if you can't do that because your maturity level is so infantile and no other deparment will hire you, then learn this phrase, "would you like fries with that." Because guess what, contrary to what you believe in that imaginary world that you live in, your days are numbered.

Ok, so which one of you faggots wrote this?

Puppet Boy Graham or Poodle loving Johnson (see above)? It's not the case of anonimity, just ask me, I'll tell you how i feel about you to your face.

When the next and largest lawsuit gets settled and finalized someones head is going to have to roll. Who will that be? Graham of course, he's the one that was stupid enough to take the Chief's position without having an employment contract. Allowing himself to be forced to be Pappa Saunders ***** boy and Saunders the Puppet Master. Things will not get better here until one of two things happen in this city, for the Employees and Citizens: 1) We have a Chief that has an employment contract and can stand the ground everyone hope he has the balls to do so; 2) Pappa Saunders gets out of office and the Chief gets an employment contract. Even though its Saunders that is leading the pack now, hes secure as he has an employment contract that is intact!

The next lawsuit will probably be all of Clermont Citizens in a class action lawsuit against the City for which they pay a higher milage rate for the PD finding out that they have been paying for a single officer to patrol the Geriatric Ward of the Ridge! Why is one officer dedicated to this particular subdivision? Would it be that one City Councilman, Goodgame, is abusing his powers, has the ear of Pappa Saunders and Saunders passed it down the chain to Graham. Shouldnt the HOA be paying for this dedicated officer, instead of paying someone city money and probably overtime at the same time. Hey Graham, Goodgame, Saunders there are other subdivisions in the area that would like to have a dedicated officer to them also. Why dont you give them the opportunity to get this kind of protection as well. I mean what are we really worried about with KR? The golf carts going to fast over the speed bumps, DUI in a golf cart, suspicious looking walkers (no pun intended) in the subdivision??? Come on get a clue. The only thing an officer needs to be there for 99% of the time is to help the ambulance drivers find a residence. Why isnt LCSO attacking this detail, dont they have a community station at the guard shack there, if they want to show a presence there let them, dont let Goodgame take it upon himself to waste our tax money, money desperately needed elsewhere in the PD. Money for legitimate OT, training, equipment, operating computers, etc... So we can fight the crime out there on our streets with the knowledge that everything we have is in working order. Yes, there is crime within our city, yes there are drugs within our city, NO MATTER what everyone tries to pull the rug over our citizens eyes. As long as we are forced to NOT DO OUR JOBS the crime will continue to get worse as Clermont is becoming a safe haven for the criminals as they also know our hands are tied and they are pretty safe here unless they really screw up and force us to take action. They know there is no pro-activeness here in our city as the City leaders frown upon that and would rather go on making all of our citizens that they live in Mayberry!

How can anyone respect a Chief that doesnt learn from his first mistake? Wasnt that the reason for your first divorce, cheating??? Now, last thing i heard your girlfriend was fired for having an affair with ANOTHER city employee also, is that true? Or someone that was hired without being subjected to the same hiring process as the rest of us were due to management discretion, JJ (which one was scared he wouldnt pass the other phases and waived them)? You talk about the good old boy system and the way none of us would be hired here any longer, heres some news for you, the good old boy system is alive and very strong here. We should have a sign at the door saying, "good old boys need not apply, just come in and say your one of us." How can a sgt. be forced to change a review of a suboordinate so they can get promoted? What kind of BS is that? What happened to EARNING A PROMOTION? You have other officers that file complaints because their child was pulled over on a LEGITIMATE stop and was given a warning, and they still ***** putting fellow officers under IA, nobody is untouchable even an officers child! Or, getting repremanded for having to large of vernacular on reports, making it to hard for mgmt to read due to there diminished vernacular.

Be safe out there
Ready and waiting for the decision
LMFAO

looks like all is well in the great state of Clermont....what a disaster. What happened to all the good officers that were there?

03-14-2009, 03:28 AM
the Officers are still there, just not the "management" (and i use that term very loosely) they have all became talking, walking puppets of the City Manager and City Council.

The bad thing about it is the Citizens of the City that are paying higher millage rates for the protection of the PD have no idea of how the officers hands are tied on what they can and cant do. They think that these problems of the city going down hill is the fault of the officers, when in fact it is the fault of the management not allowing the officers to do as they are employed to do. Enforce the laws of the great State of Florida. 90% of the officers here want nothing more than to be able to be pro-active in their duties and help clean up the city in which a lot of them also reside. But, sadly they are unable to do so without retribution from management.

The citizens will know SOON!

Graham, what ya gonna do when Saunders turns on you? Your officers wont have your back! Sadly.

Hey, do we still have a dedicated officer patrolling for "suspicious walkers" in the geriatric ward?

03-14-2009, 08:20 PM
There are three lawsuits at the moment:

Rooney
Wells
Rodriguez

All are wasting their time and money, but more heartburn to the city, pile it on

03-15-2009, 08:13 AM
Looks like "yallknow" shite his diaper. You should probably go home to mommy and have her clean that up for you; better yet she should fix what she did not at your conception. It's folks like you who are a waste of flesh and a burden on society. Very few would miss you if you ceased to exist. You don't make things better, you spread the disease.

Your a douche!

Once again, it is sad to see a handfull of disgruntled cowards running their mouths here instead of trying to make things better at the PD. Yes we have some good officers and then we have some others that want to sue and blame admin because they are passed over due to their extremely poor performance on the job.
Be thankful you have a job, come to work and honor the oaths you took, or better yet, do the rest of us a favor and leave.

Awe!!
Good to see that Clermont is still a bottomless pit of pain. Looks like a JJ is viewing the site. Only he has the smarts to write like that. I was curious how the Rooney law suit was going, I can count on my trusty LEOAFFAIRS.com friends to fill me in. I hope he doesn't settle, and sticks it in the city's ass. From what I understand, there are more lawsuits coming??? Something I heard about FMLA violations? I also heard something about sex discrimnation? You know overtime heart burn can grow to acid reflux, causing the esophagus to erode! I told you sometime back that JJ was going to be a head hunter, how's that working out????
If the city starts messing around with FMLA, and sex discrimnation, the whole admin will be holding hands with SteveO at the local job fair. Better yet, keep firing officers and it is only matter of time before one snaps, and bypasses the the whole legal thing and goes strait to physical violence. Shaffer isn't the only one thats going to be needing 10-94. The admin. should be ashamed of messing up peoples lives, in these hard economic times. When you take somebodys job, retirement, and good name, what else do they have? They become no different than a person trying to commit "sucide by cop" Not everybody is has money to sue. I see a storm brewin.
Just food for thought.
Stay safe, check your six.

admin is the reason officers are disgruntled. admin are the most untruthful people in the city. but yet they say its everyone else. it's not untruthfulness , it's just not what you want to hear. look at yourselves before you point the finger to others.

Unfortunate that the public is so clueless about what goes on inside this agancy. If you don't trust the comments from the officers that used to work there, or still work there then try asking a Lake County Deputy, or another Lake County Police Officer their opinion about this agency and how its run. Even better ask another Cheif of Police. Ask the States Attorney his opinion about this agency. Even better ask the U.S. Dept of Defense (US Air Force Reserves) and get their opinion about this agency. The majority of answers you'll get will not be good. You'll also find strong negative opinions about Clermont P.D. and its City Manager throughout the state of FL from FDLE in Tallahassee to Avon Park Police. Why would a former Cheif of Police of the Valparaiso Police Dept up in the panhandle of FL know of "former LT Danny Cheatham" and his exploits under Wayne Saunders. It should make you wonder. Why would an US Air Force Security Police Commander tell one of his reservist (who worked for CPD at the time) that he needed to leave CPD due to its ill reputation that may cause a conflict in interest with military police service. Why would the USAFOSI also recommend to the same reservist to leave CPD. It should make you wonder. If you care about the level of police service in your community, you should be demmanding answers from your elected reps. If you don't get answers, you need to vote them out. The officers within a police department can only do so much, the community needs to get involved. And by the way, there are at least 8 law suits that I know of against the city, a few are former employees (not all ex-police, and surprisingly a couple from citizens. Do some looking on Gov sites and you'll find the proof. Don't just look at the local level, but state and federal as well. Veteran Affairs is another good place to look. Wayne Saunders and the City of Clermont do not support our troops nor tolerate reserve service members among its ranks speaks volumes to me. Sorry for all of you that live in Clermont, I'm glad I'm in north FL. We have a saying in the USAF---> It sucks to be you!!!
